Interculturality 2018-1

Profesora: Jill Fortune

Participants are encouraged to analyse their own culture(s) through the medium of English, as well as examining cultures different to their own from different perspectives. Students are encouraged to be curious, inquisitive and critical as they consider their own and others’ cultures and identities. Diversity is embraced and an international and multicultural perspective maintained throughout the course.

The role of the media, international organisations, government and other actors are considered as possible agents of change for the future, in the eradication of stereotypes, prejudice and discrimination in different spaces.

Students are supported in developing a specific set of personal and professional skills so that they might be better prepared to observe, interpret and influence shifts in interculturality and transculturality on the world stage.
