Academic formation and experience:

Lawyer from Externado de Colombia University (2005), Magister in Comparative Legal Studies (LLM) from the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn in Germany, with emphasis in Criminal Law (2008, summa cum laude, under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Dr. h. c. mult. Günther Jakobs). Doctor in Laws (Dr. iur.) from the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn in Germany in the área of Criminal Law (2014, summa cum laude, under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Dr. h. c. mult. Günther Jakobs). Scholar from the Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst – DAAD, from Externado University Universidad Externado de Colombia and the Ernst und Anna Landsberg Foundation from Switzerland. She has worked in the Research Center for Philosophy and Law from Externado University since 2002.

Active member of the research group from the  del grupo de investigación del Max Planck Institut für ausländisches und internationales Strafrecht agreement with Externado University on the topic of  “Transitional Law”.

Research Areas: Theoretical and philosophical foundations of theory of crime and theory of punishment, particularly: normativism in Criminal Law (functionalism); Criminal Law Doctrine, specially, theory of objective attribution (principle of trust).
