Group of Students awarded with the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Auswrtiges Amt)
The Research Centre for Philosophy and Law has the pleasure to announce that a group of students from our University directed by our professor and researcher Nathalia Bautista Pizarro has been awarded a scholarship from the DAAD (German Service of Academic Exchange) and the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Auswärtiges Amt) to make an Academic trip for students group and teacher in Germany. The group applied in April to the international call and proposed the topic of the academic visit Transitional justice: Experiences exchange between Germany and Colombia.
The students and the professor will start their trip in October in the Law and Society Institute of the Faculty of Law of the Humboldt Universität in Berlin, under the coordination of Dr. Benjamin Lahusen and Maximiliam Wagner. Then, they will be welcomed in the Foreign and International Criminal Law Institute of the Faculty of Law of the University of Cologne directed by Professor Bettina Weißer and the Research Group on Transitional Justice of the Ph.D. Candidate and assistant researcher Elisa Costadura, who belongs to the Criminal Law, European Criminal Law, International Criminal Law, Peace Assurance Law and Conflict Resolution International Law Lectureship directed by Professor Claus Kreß. Finally, they will be in the Criminological Sciences and Philosophy of Law Institute of Professor Cornelius Prittwitz, from the Faculty of Law of the University of Frankfurt. In those institutions they will assist to two seminars and an academic conversation in which the topics, that the Colombian students have researched on Transitional Justice, will be addressed.
Additionally, they will visit museums and commemorative landmarks in the cities of Berlin, Cologne, Bonn, Frankfurt y Nurnberg. The Colombian students will also assist in informative lectures regarding postgraduate programs for foreign students and the credit systems of each German university. Likewise, they will have the opportunity to share information in each host institution to German students regarding the possibilities of academic exchange in our University.
