(Information under construction)
As an exchange student
To be able to study in the Universidad Externado de Colombia, visiting students must obligatorily pay 25$US approximately for their student ID card.
This payment must be done by the dates established by the Faculty so that students can registered and enrolled.
The ID card, a necessity to be identified as a student, shall also allow the student to gain access to the different services provided by the university (library, bus routes, student welfare services, medical services). It also can be used to identify yourself as a student and obtain discounts in films and expositions, for example.
Registration and modification of subjects
We hope that all the exchange students will feel like they are a part of FIGRI and for this reason they can choose subjects from any semester of our faculty depending on their needs and wishes.
It is worth noting that the academic load of a regular student is 18 credits per semester, nevertheless, the academic load of an exchange student depends on what is required by the home university of each student.
You are allowed to take classes from other faculties provided these courses do not exceed more than half of the registered credits. This is to say that the majority of the credits taken must be taken in the Faculty of Finance, Government and International Relations.
1 credit: 48 study hours/semester
The exchange students must choose their subjects before the first week of classes and send their choices within the times established by the Faculty to the email: internacional@uexternado.edu.co. As with regular students, you may cancel up to 3 subjects, within the dates established by the Faculty. To be able to cancel a subject, students must obligatorily fill out and sign the form provided by the Student Exchange Office. Once having realized this process, you shall not be permitted to make any modifications and the subjects enrolled will appear on your grade certificate even if you later decide to drop out.
