Microtaller: Alternativas para ‘gamificar’ la evaluación

Durante el evento, los docentes aprenderán a utilizar cinco herramientas web.

¿Ha notado que los estudiantes temen a los exámenes y, en vez de verlos como herramientas de aprendizaje, los interpretan como la culminación del proceso? En este microtaller veremos cómo utilizar 5 herramientas web que le ayudarán a gamificar (ludificar, convertir en juego) la evaluación. Con Kahoot, Socrative, Mentimeter, Quizziz y Google Forms se pueden crear quizzes, discusiones y juegos alrededor de los temas de clase de una manera entretenida y mediada por la tecnología. Estas actividades pueden ser útiles como preparaciones para el parcial más formal o como diagnósticos de la comprensión de los estudiantes.

Carolina Rodríguez Buitrago será la docente que orientará este taller; es licenciada en español y lenguas extranjeras de la Universidad Pedagógica Nacional, certificada en inglés por Mount Holyoke College en Estados Unidos y magíster en Educational technology & TESOL de la Universidad de Manchester, Reino Unido.

During the event, teachers will learn how to use five web tools.

Have you noticed that students are afraid of exams and, instead of viewing them as learning tools, they perceive them as the culmination of the process? In this micro-workshop, we will learn how to use five web tools that will help ‘gamifyÂ’ (ludify, make it a game) evaluation. With Kahoot, Socrative, Mentimeter, Quizziz, and Google Forms, one can create quizzes, discussions, and games around class topics in an entertaining manner, and mediated by technology. These activities can be useful as preparation for the more formal partial exams or as diagnoses of students’ understanding.

Carolina Rodríguez Buitrago will be the teacher guiding this workshop. She holds a degree in Spanish and foreign languages from the National Pedagogic University, certified in English by Mount Holyoke College in the United States, and also holds a Master’s in Educational Technology & TESOL from the University of Manchester, United Kingdom.
