Con gran éxito se desarrolló el Global Fest Week 2022 del Externado

Los(as) estudiantes, profesores, investigadores y egresados del Externado asistieron y participaron en las conferencias, charlas académicas, cátedras país, exhibiciones, muestras culturales y de cine, convocadas desde la Dirección de Internacionalización y Relaciones Externas (DIRE), en articulación con diferentes unidades académicas y de apoyo de la Universidad, como algunas Facultades, la Biblioteca, el Centro de Idiomas y Cultura, entre otras.

En el marco del GFW-22 se llevaron a cabo las Cátedras País Canadá y Paraguay, en coordinación con el Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores, las Embajadas de Canadá y Paraguay, y la Asociación Colombiana de Universidades (ASCUN). Ambos eventos contaron con la participación de la Vicepresidente y Ministra de Relaciones Exteriores, Martha Lucía Ramírez, y permitieron abordar desde una perspectiva académica el análisis de las relaciones bilaterales de Colombia con estos países, así como una inmersión en la cultura y oportunidades de educación. De la misma manera, las Embajadas de Turquía y Polonia participaron en esta semana internacional a través de conferencias sobre la política exterior de estos países, acompañadas de sus respectivas exhibiciones fotográficas y culturales.

Asimismo, se ofrecieron charlas informativas sobre becas y oportunidades de estudios en el exterior con diferentes agencias educativas nacionales y extranjeras como Icetex, Colfuturo, Campus France, el Servicio Alemán de Intercambio Académico (DAAD), Fulbright, así como las embajadas de Canadá y Francia.

Desde la Dirección de Internacionalización y Relaciones Externas se continuarán realizando este tipo de actividades, para brindar más oportunidades de interacción con el exterior para nuestra comunidad externadista.

Externado’s Global Fest Week – 2022 was a Great Success

From 25 to 29 April, the first international Global Fest Week - 2022 (GFW-22) was held at our University. It was a space in which multiple activities took place with the aim of consolidating internationalisation at home and entrenching international culture in the Externadista community.

The students, professors, investigators, and graduates that attended and participated in the conferences, academic talks, country lectures, exhibitions, and cultural and cinema events were convened by the Internationalisation and Foreign Relations Directorate (DIRE in Spanish), jointly with different academic and support units from the University including some faculties, the Library and the Centre for Languages and Culture, among others.

In the frame of the GFW-22, the Canada and Paraguay country lectures took place in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the embassies of Canada and Paraguay, and the Colombian Association of Universities (ASCUN in Spanish). Both events counted with the participation of the Vice-President and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Colombia, Martha Lucía Ramírez. This permitted the analysis of the bilateral relations between Colombia and other countries, and cultural immersion and education opportunities, to be approached from an academic perspective. Likewise, the embassies of Turkey and Poland participated in the internalisation week through conferences about their countriesÂ’ foreign policies, and accompanied by their respective photography and cultural exhibitions.

Similarly, informative talks about scholarships and study opportunities abroad involving different national and international agencies were given. This included Icetex, Colfuturo, Campus France, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD in German), Fulbright, and the Canadian and French embassies.

The Internationalisation and Foreign Relations Directorate will continue to organise these types of activities to offer our Externadista community more opportunities to interact with foreign lands.
