Las personas que quieran asistir al taller deberán inscribirse. Solo hay 50 cupos.

La Biblioteca invita a investigadores y estudiantes de posgrado o especialización a participar en el taller, que tiene como objetivo presentar qué es Taylor and Francis y la importancia de publicar en esta casa editorial, además de brindar recomendaciones que pueden ser útiles para reducir los tiempos de publicación y mejorar el uso y consulta de este recurso digital disponible en nuestra página web.

Taylor and Francis es una casa editorial inglesa con 200 años de trayectoria, que publica artículos de investigación en revistas arbitradas con factor de impacto, libros académicos y colecciones digitales.

Esta editorial cuenta con más de 2.500 títulos en Humanidades y Ciencias Sociales. También registra 45 millones de descargas anuales de texto completo y hace presencia en más de 37.000 instituciones en todo el mundo. Además, hace parte de las cinco editoriales más prestigiosas y tiene opciones de publicación en Open Access.

Durante el taller se abordarán los siguientes temas:

  • ¿Qué es la editorial Taylor and Francis?
  • Presencia en Scopus y Web of Science.
  • Número de artículos de investigación publicados en América Latina y cuántos dentro de Taylor and Francis.
  • ¿Sobre qué temas y en qué medios está publicando Colombia?
  • Conceptos generales de factor de impacto, consultas, Orcid, DOI, Cuartiles Q1-Q4.
  • ¿Por qué publica un investigador?
  • Las 10 principales recomendaciones para publicar en T&F.
  • Ãndice H (medición estadística de la producción científica).
  • ¿Qué ve un árbitro o par ciego?
  • Servicios editoriales: traducción, redacción, formato, etc.
  • Código de ética y plagio.
  • Tendencia en publicación: video, sonido, PDF interactivo.

Those wishing to attend the workshop must register in advance. There are only 50 spaces available.

The Library invites researchers, graduate, and specialization students to participate in the workshop, aiming to introduce Taylor and Francis and the importance of publishing with this well-known group, as well as provide recommendations useful in reducing publication times and improving reference use in this digital resource, available on our website.

Taylor and Francis is a British publishing house with a 200-year trajectory that publishes research articles in impact-factor journals, academic books, and digital collections.
The publishing house has over 2,500 titles in Humanities and Social Sciences. The Group also records 45 million full-text annual downloads and is present in more than 37,000 institutions worldwide. Additionally, it is one of the five most prestigious publishers and has options to publish in Open Access.

The following topics will be addressed during the workshop:

  • What is the Taylor and Francis Group?
  • Presence in Scopus and Web of Science.
  • Number of research articles published in Latin America and how many by Taylor and Francis.
  • On which topics and which media is it publishing in Colombia?
  • General concepts of impact factor, consultations, Orcid, DOI, and Quartiles Q1-Q4.
  • Why does it publish research?
  • The ten main recommendations to publish in T & F.
  • Index H (scientific production statistical measurement).
  • What does an arbitrator or a blind peer see?
  • Editorial services: translation, wording, format, etc.
  • Code of ethics and plagiarism.
  • Publishing Trends: video, audio, interactive PDF.
