FIGRI students studying abroad
Studying a semester or a year abroad offers the FIGRI students a unique opportunity to have new experiences in the academic, cultural and personal environments and to understand the world from other perspectives.
The Student Exchange Program contributes to the academic project of the Faculty in the realm of diversity. The students that do student exchanges broaden their academic perspectives based on the essential formation that they have previously received.
Testimonies of FIGRI students that have carried out student exchanges abroad
Angélica Álvarez Rojas, student exchange in Sciences Po Paris:
If a student can take advantage of this opportunity offered by Externado, they shouldnt hesitate to do it. I consider it the best experience that a person can have. I would like to congratulate the Student Exchange Office and the University! They have been able to establish exchange agreements with the best universities at the international level.
Viviana Lozano. Student exchange in Sciences Po Bordeaux:
In general terms, a year in France and specifically in Sciences Po Bordeaux is an extraordinary experience and the perfect complement to the formation one receives in Government and International Relations. The proficiency obtained in the language and the relations one establishes with other students in Political Science from around the world are favorable aspects in ones academic progression as well as for ones personal and professional life.
Nicolas Gärtner Cala. Undergraduate-Postgraduate Double Major in Audencia Nantes Business School:
The Faculty has played an important role in the success of my student exchange in France. On the one hand, in the administrative aspect, the Student Exchange Office carried out the task of offering me accompaniment and support from the application process to the foreign university to the documentation and other necessary requirements to make my student exchange a reality. Additionally, from the academic aspect, the Faculty trained me to assimilate new knowledge, with a strong commitment and sense of responsibility.
Daniela Jurado Jabba. Student exchange in the Universidad de San Pablo
The multidisciplinary formation that FIGRI offers us has given me the possibility of choosing subjects from different faculties in the USP, from amongst economics, social sciences, international relations and history. Furthermore, it allowed me to have an outstanding performance, even amongst the Brazilians. I had no difficulty with respect to the academic contents and load, despite studying all the while in a foreign language.
Additionally, I had two work experiences in Brazil, one in the General Consulate of Colombia in São Paulo and another in PROEXPORT. The range of knowledge received during my major studies, both in relation to the public sector as well as the private, have facilitated my optimal performance as an intern in these two entities.
Laura Rodriguez Sotelo. Student exchange in Sciences Po Bordeaux
I would like to express my gratitude to Externado for the student exchange program. It really lets you acquire a professional and personal projection that is broader, and it allows you to learn so many new things. I consider that the previous knowledge that the students of FIGRI are given provides the basis to truly take advantage in the development experiences there and the courses offered in Sciences Po. I recommend the city and the exchange for all that I learned and lived there. There are some very interesting courses in terms of content. Also, if you decide to do the student exchange at the end of your studies as I did, there are a lot of masters programs and opportunities for internships that can be very interesting for your future.
