En el Club de Cine Externadista convesaremos sobre “Un año más”

El Instituto de Estudios Interdisciplinarios y la Biblioteca invitan a la comunidad externadista a participar en el conversatorio sobre la película “Un año más”.

Este semestre, el Club de Cine Externadista presenta el ciclo “Narrativas cotidianas”; historias humanas que transcurren entre la complejidad y el dinamismo lineal o discontinuo del día a día. Experiencias de jóvenes, adultos, citadinos, provincianos, familias y comunidades que forman sistemas de vida con sus propios códigos afectivos o limitaciones morales.

En la película “Un año más”, dirigida por Mike Leigh (2010), conoceremos la vida de una terapeuta y un geólogo, que están felizmente casados. La preocupación por la soledad de su hijo Maltman los distrae del acercamiento a la familia que ha tenido María, una compañera de trabajo de Gerri, la terapeuta.

Esta película fue presentada en el Festival de Cine de Cannes 2010 y, aunque no ganó, fue bien acogida por la crítica y el público.

At the Externadista Cinema Club, we will chat about “Another year”

The Interdisciplinary Studies Institute and the Library invite the Externadista community to join in the discussion on the movie “Another Year.”

This semester, the Externadista Cinema Club presents the cycle “Everyday Narratives” – human stories that occur among the day to day complexity and the linear or discontinuous dynamism. Experiences of young people, adults, city and rural dwellers, families, and communities that create life systems with their particular affective codes or moral limitations.

In the movie “Another Year,” directed by Mike Leigh (2010), we learn about the life of a therapist and a geologist, who are happily married. Their concern for their son’s loneliness distracts them from getting close to the family that María, Gerri’s co-worker, has had.
