Chimamanda Ngozi Adiche y la literatura africana contemporánea

La Escuela de Arte, Cultura y Lenguas de la Facultad de Finanzas, Gobierno y Relaciones Internacionales, en alianza con la Biblioteca, invitan al nuevo espacio de conversación literaria en dos lenguas (inglés-español).

Chimamanda Ngozi Adiche se ha convertido en uno de los referentes literarios de Nigeria en los últimos años. Sus visitas al Hay Festival de Cartagena en 2007 y 2019, su incursión en TED con las charlas “The danger of a single story” o “Why should all be a feminists”, así como las múltiples nominaciones a importantes premios de literatura han creado el escenario perfecto para que su obra circule y nuevos lectores se interesen por sus ideas, su relación con la literatura africana y el feminismo.

Por tal motivo, el próximo jueves 1° de octubre, invitamos a todos los curiosos a participar en la conversación que girará en torno a la obra de Chimamanda y la literatura africana contemporánea. El conversatorio tendrá como invitada especial a Ciku Kimeria (escritora keniana).

The Finance, Government and International Relations’ School of Art, Culture, and Languages, together with the Library, invite to a new space for literary conversation in two languages (English-Spanish).

Chimamanda Ngozi Adiche has become one of Nigeria’s literary references in recent years. Her visits to the Hay Festival in Cartagena in 2007 and 2019, her foray into TED with the talks “The danger of a single story” or “We should all be feminists,” as well as the multiple nominations for prestigious literature awards, have created the perfect setting for disseminating her work and for new readers to become interested in her ideas, her relationship with African literature, and feminism.

In light of the above, on Thursday, October 1, 2020, we invite all curious to participate in the conversation revolving around ChimamandaÂ’s work and contemporary African literature. Ciku Kimeria (Kenyan writer) will be the special guest. If wishing to participate, please register here.
