Con la película ‘El salario del miedo’ vuelve el Club del Cine Externadista

El Instituto de Estudios Interdisciplinarios y la Biblioteca invitan a la comunidad externadista a disfrutar, este jueves 25 de enero, de la película francesa “El salario del miedo”.

En el primer periodo de 2018, el Club del Cine Externadista presenta un ciclo de películas referido al miedo y a las miserias. El programa, que se compone de 15 títulos de importantes largometrajes nacionales e internacionales, pretende abordar la temática por medio de un recorrido por la historia del cine.

Para efectos de analizar dichas producciones en sus contextos estéticos e históricos, el crítico y docente cinematográfico Mauricio Laurens introduce las proyecciones y brinda sus parámetros de discusión. Todos los jueves, a partir de las 2:00 p.m., en el Salón 2 de la Biblioteca.

El próximo jueves 25 de enero, se proyectará la película “El salario del miedo”, escrita y dirigida por el cineasta francés Henri-Georges Clouzot. Este documental cuenta el desafiante recorrido que realizan cuatro trabajadores de una petrolífera para transportar nitroglicerina para apagar un incendio.

Externadista Cinema Club returns with “The Wages of Fear”

The Institute for Interdisciplinary Studies and the Library invite the Externadista community to view, on Thursday, January 25, 2018, the French film "The wages of fear."

In the first semester of 2018, the Externadista Cinema Club presents the film cycle “Fear and Misery.”  This series, consisting of 15 major international feature films, aims to address the theme through the history of cinema.

To analyze these productions, in their artistic and historical context, film critic and cinema professor, Mauricio Laurens, introduces the films and provides discussion parameters. The Club meets on Thursdays, at 2:00 pm, at the Library, Room 2.

Our first session, January 25, 2018, features the French film «The wages of fear,» written and directed by French filmmaker Henri-Georges Clouzot. This documentary narrates the challenging journey by four oil company workers hired to transport nitroglycerin to extinguish a fire.
