«Miedo y miserias», el nuevo ciclo del Club del Cine Externadista para el 2018

El Instituto de Estudios Interdisciplinarios presenta la programación del nuevo ciclo del Club del Cine Externadista, el cual se desarrollará en el primer periodo académico del 2018.

Desde hace algunos años la Universidad Externado de Colombia viene abriendo espacios culturales para que la comunidad académica saque provecho de sus tiempos libres.

Por esta razón, el Instituto de Estudios Interdisciplinarios presenta el nuevo ciclo del Club del Cine Externadista, el cual se desarrollará en el primer periodo académico del 2018, y que tendrá como temática “Miedo y miserias”, en alusión a “Terror y miseria del III Reich”, del dramaturgo Bertolt Brecht (1938).

El ciclo de películas será particularmente sicológico y de repercusiones sociales, referido a diversas modalidades del pánico criminal, temores infundados, angustias sobrenaturales, entre otros.

Además, incluirá películas que muestran sociedades opresivas, pasados que no perdonan, peligros inminentes, tensiones laborales, la doble moral de las buenas costumbres, entre otros.

La proyección de estas películas se iniciará el 25 de enero del 2018, con “El salario del miedo”, y finalizará el 10 de mayo del 2018, con ‘La sirga’. Cabe recordar que estas actividades se realizan todos los jueves.

Otras de las cintas que se podrán disfrutar a lo largo del semestre académico serán: “Vértigo”, “Disparen al pianista”, “La semilla del diablo”, “El miedo devora el alma”, “Saló”, “Cría cuervos”, “El huevo de la serpiente”, “Terciopelo azul”, “Sexo, mentiras y video”, “Tesis”, “La profesora de piano”, “La teta asustada” y “El secreto de sus ojos”.

«Fear and Misery,» New cycle of the Externadista Cinema Club – 2018

The Interdisciplinary Studies Institute presents the programming of the new cycle of the Externadista Cinema Club, held during the first 2018 academic term.

For several years, the Externado de Colombia University has been creating cultural spaces so the academic community can take advantage of their free time.

With the above in mind, the Interdisciplinary Studies Institute introduces the new cycle of the Externadista Cinema Club, held during the first semester of 2018. The theme is «Fear and Misery,» alluding to «Fear and Misery of the Third Reich» by dramatist Bertolt Brecht (1938).

The film cycle will be predominantly psychological and of social consequences, referencing various forms of criminal panic, unfounded fears, supernatural distress, among others.

Also, the series will include films showing oppressive societies, unforgiving pasts, imminent dangers, labor tensions, moral double standards, among others.

The first session begins January 25, 2018, with the film «The Wages of Fear,» and ends May 10, 2018, with “The Towrope” (La Sirga). As always, the Club meets on Thursdays.
