Soul y Blues en el Club de Poesía Externadista

La Biblioteca y la Decanatura Cultural invitan a estudiantes, docentes, administrativos y visitantes a participar en la novena sesión del Club de Poesía Externadista.

Este semestre, el programa será dirigido por el escritor Henry Alexander Gómez, premiado en el Certamen Internacional de Literatura Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz (México) en 2018 –uno de los más importantes del continente– y también merecedor de los premios Ciro Mendía, Casa Silva y el Premio Internacional José Verón Gormaz (España).

Durante la novena sesión se abordarán tres poetas norteamericanos y se analizará su relación con la música: Jericho Brown y el Soul, Tracy K. Smith y David Bowie, Tyehimba Jess y el Blues. Además, se adelantará un ejercicio de escritura.

Si aún no se ha registrado puede hacerlo AQUÃ. Tenga en cuenta que deberá contar con disponibilidad de tiempo los martes de 3:30 a 6:00 p.m., hasta el 5 de noviembre, días en que se llevará a cabo el programa de manera consecutiva.

Soul and Blues at the Externadista Poetry Club

The Cultural Decanatura and the Library invite students, professors, administrative staff, and guests to participate in the ninth session of the Externadista Poetry Club.

This semester, the program will be directed by author Henry Alexander Gómez, award recipient at the International Competition of Literature Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz (Mexico) in 2018 – one of the most prestigious in the continent – and also recipient of the Ciro Mendía, and Casa Silva awards, and the José Verón Gormaz International Prize (Spain).

The ninth session looks at three American poets and analyzes their relationship with music – Jericho Brown and Soul; Tracy K. Smith, David Bowie, Tyehimba Jess, and Blues. Also, a writing exercise will be carried out.
