Forum: Interpretation of competition rules

The Forum will address the elements that justify the use of the Per Se Rule and the Rule of Reason in the Colombian legal system.

In light of the recent doctrinal discussions on the interpretation of antitrust provisions, the Economics Law Department invites to the Forum “Per Se Rule and Rule of Reason? Interpretation of competition rules,” to be held Thursday, July 27, 2017.

The meeting features ten expert guests, academics, and researchers who will address various topics and analyze, among other aspects, the origin and development of the per se rule and the rule of reason in the U.S. case and its application effects in Colombia.

Also, the experts will make an Economic Analysis of the Law and the rule of reason, and the application of some sort of rule of reason by the Colombian competition authority.

The Forum will have a speaker on each topic who will present their research results and, also, a commentator who will offer observations on the presentations.

Professor and researcher Emilio José Archila Peñalosa will act as moderator.
