Inauguración de la nueva exposición en la Biblioteca: Estado de derecho, Arte y Derechos Humanos

El Programa Estado de Derecho para Latinoamérica de la Fundación Konrad Adenauer cumple treinta años de trabajo en la región. La Biblioteca de la Universidad Externado de Colombia se une a esta celebración con la apertura de la exposición “Estado de derecho, Arte y Derechos Humanos”.

La Biblioteca inaugurará una nueva exposición en sus instalaciones de manera presencial. “Estado de derecho, Arte y Derechos Humanos” es la muestra fotográfica de 16 piezas pictóricas de diversos artistas de Latinoamérica.

Sobre el particular, Julieta Cadavid, curadora de la exposición, comenta: “Esta obra, diseñada como pieza de arte colectiva e individual, empieza su recorrido al norte de la región con las pintas de patrones matemáticos en ilustraciones digitales de México. A estas les siguen las tierras volcánicas de Costa Rica, mediante una explosión centroamericana de materiales y técnica. Luego se revelan trazos que exhiben la orografía andina sobre delicadas intervenciones de pieles. Además, la exposición nos enseña los valles de Bolivia y las instalaciones de Brasil. Así mismo, el Cono Sur toma voz y alza sonidos con instrumentos y performance en el inicio de un nuevo Chile”.

Invitamos a toda la comunidad externadista a sumarse a esta celebración, así como a recorrer la sala de exhibiciones de la Biblioteca, un escenario donde las artes impulsan la visión del mundo contemporáneo.

Inauguration of the new exhibition at the Library: Rule of Law, Art and Human Rights

The Rule of Law Program for Latin America of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation celebrates thirty years of work in the region. The Library of the Universidad Externado de Colombia joins this celebration with the opening of the exhibition "Rule of Law, Art and Human Rights".

The Library will inaugurate a new exhibition at its facilities in person. «Rule of Law, Art and Human Rights» is the photographic exhibition of 16 pictorial pieces by various artists from Latin America.

Julieta Cadavid, curator of the exhibition, comments: «This work, designed as a collective and individual art piece, begins its journey to the north of the region with the paintings of mathematical patterns in digital illustrations from Mexico. These are followed by the volcanic lands of Costa Rica, through a Central American explosion of materials and technique. Then, traces are revealed that showcase the Andean orography on delicate interventions of skins. In addition, the exhibition shows us the valleys of Bolivia and the installations of Brazil. Likewise, the Southern Cone takes voice and raises sounds with instruments and performance in the beginning of a new Chile».

We invite the entire Externadista community to join in this celebration, as well as to tour the Library’s exhibition hall, a stage where the arts drive the vision of the contemporary world.
