La Cuarta Revolución Industrial: ¿Cuáles van a ser los negocios del futuro?

A propósito del nuevo paradigma científico que regirá los negocios y los fenómenos sociales, el Externado presentará en Bucaramanga una conferencia sobre las tecnologías inteligentes.

La charla estará a cargo del docente e investigador Francisco Mojica, director de la Maestría en Pensamiento Estratégico y Prospectiva, quien hablará sobre los negocios del futuro, teniendo en cuenta la vanguardia tecnológica de los tiempos actuales.

El mundo tecnológico dejó de ser analógico para convertirse en digital, y de allí está migrando a un devenir “inteligente”. Precisamente, expertos estiman que las tecnologías “inteligentes”, como vehículos autónomos, robots, imprentas de tercera dimensión, el big data y la biología sintética, entre otros, van a configurar el futuro de la ciencia. Pero no solo el de la ciencia, sino de la economía, las relaciones sociales y los patrones culturales.

Por lo anterior, el tema central de la conferencia será cómo las tecnologías del futuro son portadoras de nuevos negocios, pero también de desempleo, ya que podrán desplazar la mano de obra tradicional.

Durante el encuentro, Mojica planteara los retos que trae consigo esta realidad. Primero, para la educación, porque es necesario formar desde ya a los profesionales que requerirá la Cuarta Revolución Industrial y, en segundo lugar, para el Estado, que debe tener claridad sobre hacia dónde va el desarrollo mundial, para conducir al país con visión futurista en sus políticas públicas.

Sobre el conferencista:

Francisco Mojica es doctor en Ciencias Humanas de la Universidad de París V “René Descartes”. Ha realizado numerosos estudios de futuro, de índole empresarial, territorial, sectorial y tecnológica, tanto en Colombia como en América Latina. Es corresponsal de “Futuribles Internacional” de París, miembro de la “World Future Society” y director del “Nodo Colombia” del “Millennium Project” y miembro cofundador de RIBER (“Red Iberoamericana de Prospectiva”).

Regarding the new scientific paradigm which will govern the business and social phenomena, the Externado offers a discussion on smart technologies, in Bucaramanga.

Professor-researcher Francisco Mojica, Director of the Masters in Strategic Thinking and Prospective Program, will offer a Conference on businesses of the future, taking into account present time vanguard technologies.

The technological world ceased to be analog to become digital, and from there, is migrating to becoming «smart.» Indeed, experts estimate «smart» technologies, such as self-driving vehicles, robots, 3D printing, Big Data, synthetic biology, among others, will shape the future of science. However, technology will affect not only science but also the economy, social relations, and cultural patterns.

With this in mind, the central theme of the Conference will be how technologies of the future will be generators of new business, but also of unemployment, as they may replace traditional labor.

Dr. Mojica will address the major challenges brought on by this reality.  First, in education, making it necessary to begin training professionals required by the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Second, for the State, which must have clarity on where global development is headed, to lead the country with a futuristic vision in its public policies.

At the end of the Conference, information will be provided on the Masters in Strategic Thinking and Prospective Program.

About the speaker:

Francisco Mojica holds a Ph.D. in Human Sciences from the University of Paris V «René Descartes.» He has made numerous future studies of business, territorial, sectoral, and technological aspects, in Colombia and Latin America. He is a correspondent for «Futuribles International» of Paris.  He is a member of the «World Future Society» and director of the «Nodo Colombia» of the «Millennium Project» and co-founder of RIBER («Red Iberoamericana de Prospectiva.»)
