El Comercio Global con énfasis en TLC

La línea de investigación en Contratación y Resolución en Controversias Internacionales – CYRCI invita a la charla que, sobre este particular, se dictará en el marco del Diplomado en Comercio Global con énfasis en TLC.

El comercio global y los tratados de libre comercio han tomado importancia en los últimos años; actualmente, Colombia cuenta con más de 17 acuerdos comerciales con diferentes países, los cuales no se han aprovechado de la mejor forma, debido al desconocimiento de las herramientas para promover las inversiones y exportaciones.

Prueba de este desconocimiento es que las exportaciones desde el 2012 hasta 2016 han caído en 48% según el DANE.

Conferencistas:

Eric Tremolada. Profesor e investigador de la Universidad Externado; director del Centro de Pensamiento Jean Monnet: Negocios, Comercio e Integración (CEDIC). Designado por la Comisión Europea como titular en Colombia de la Cátedra Jean Monnet de Derecho de la Integración Comparado Unión Europea-América Latina.

Andrés Cárdenas. Abogado de la Universidad Externado, máster en International and Comparative and Dispute Resolution Settlement en Queen Mary and Westfield College University of London. Actualmente es director de la línea de Investigación en Contratación y Resolución de Controversias Internacionales (CYRCI).

Santiago Diaz. Abogado con estudios jurídicos internacionales, con enfoque dual en Derecho de las Organizaciones Internacionales y Arbitraje Comercial Internacional de American Universiy – Washington College of Law. Se ha desempeñado como Jefe (E) de la Sección de Tratados del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores. Actualmente es coordinador del área de Arbitraje Internacional del Centro de Arbitraje y Conciliación de la Cámara de Comercio de Bogotá.

Global Trade with emphasis on FTA

The Research line on Contracting and Resolution of International Disputes - CYRCI – invites to the talk on this issue, held within the framework of the Certification in Global Trade with emphasis on FTA.

Global commerce and free trade agreements have gained significance in recent years. Currently, Colombia has over 17 trade agreements with different countries, which have not been used advantageously due to the lack of tools to promote investment and exports.

Proof of this lack of knowledge is the fact that exports, from 2012 to 2016, decreased by 48%, according to the DANE.

Speakers

  • Eric Tremolada. Externado University Professor and researcher; Director of the Jean Monnet Center for Thought: Business, Trade, and Integration (CEDIC). Appointed by the European Commission as the Holder, in Colombia, of the Jean Monnet Chair on Compared Integration Law European Union-Latin America.
  • Andrés Cárdenas. Externado University Law graduate, with a MasterÂ’s in International and Comparative and Dispute Resolution Settlement from Queen Mary and the Westfield College University of London. Presently, he is the director of the research line in Contracting and Resolution of International Disputes (CYRCI).
  • Santiago Diaz. Attorney, with international law studies, with a dual focus in International Organizations Law and International Commercial Arbitration from American University – Washington College of Law. He has served as Chief (A) of the Treaties section of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. At present, he is the Coordinator of the International Arbitration area of the Arbitration and Conciliation Center of the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce.
