Hora: 8:00 am - 12:00 am

With the goal to analyze the relevant substantive and procedural aspects of the implementation of denouncement in Colombia, the Economic Law Department holds a debate on this matter, incorporated in Law 1340 of 2009.

This instrument aims to detect anti-competitive conduct from the granting of benefits to those notifying the competition authority of their participation or that of others and provide information regarding behavior and acts threatening competition in the markets.

Given the recent experience in the national context by the practical application of the Law, this academic space will also analyze the implications resulting from its use in other legal settings.

Specifically, the meeting will address denouncement regarding due process and burden of proof; procedural aspects; competition and denouncement rules objectives; criminal action and denouncement and their implications versus collective actions and popular actions.

This academic meeting will be developed in a panel discussion format, with a starting point of solutions to pertinent questions on each of the issues programmed in the agenda.

The event, inaugurated by Rector Juan Carlos Henao, features participation by experts with a wide range of experience such as Pablo Felipe Robledo, Superintendent of Industry and Commerce; Jairo Parra Quijano; José Orlando Montealegre Escobar, and José Miguel de la Calle, among others.
