El Externado participó en la novena Conferencia Latinoamericana y Caribeña de Ciencias Sociales

Equipo de investigadores del Centro de Investigaciones sobre Dinámica Social – CIDS, liderado por el decano de la Facultad de Ciencias Sociales y Humanas, Jorge Martínez Cotrina, representó a nuestra Casa de Estudios en esta versión del evento. Los(s) investigadores Jaime Zuluaga, Diana Soler, Merly Díaz y Marysol Rojas presentarán libros y diferentes ponencias.

En el marco de la novena Conferencia Latinoamericana y Caribeña de Ciencias Sociales, organizada por el Consejo Latinoamericano de Ciencias Sociales – CLACSO, la cual se llevará a cabo del 7 al 10 de junio en las instalaciones de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM); se desarrolló, los días 5 y 6 de junio, la XXVII Asamblea General Ordinaria y la Asamblea Extraordinaria de esta institución, con el objetivo de discutir las perspectivas a nivel regional y mundial que fijarán los lineamientos de trabajo para los próximos años.

El CIDS de la Facultad de Ciencias Sociales y Humanas del Externado, el cual hace parte de los 836 centros de investigación y programas de posgrado que reúne CLACSO, contó con la representación y presencia del decano Jorge Martínez Cotrina, con la finalidad de fortalecer el intercambio y la cooperación entre instituciones e investigadores de la región, así como de participar activamente en las decisiones de las Asambleas General y Extraordinaria, al ser un miembro con voz y voto.

El Decano participará tanto en las diferentes actividades y charlas que se llevarán a cabo en la Conferencia, así como en las decisiones de la Asamblea en el marco de los retos que afronta la región en un contexto pospandemia, contribuyendo en gran medida a los objetivos, tanto de la Facultad de Ciencias Sociales y Humanas como de la Universidad, de posicionar al CIDS como un referente a nivel nacional y regional en el estudio de los fenómenos y problemáticas sociales del país.

Además de la participación del Decano en las dos Asambleas, el Centro de Investigaciones sobre Dinámica Social será representado por los(as) investigadores(as) Jaime Zuluaga, Merly Díaz, Diana Soler y Marysol Rojas, quienes presentarán sus ponencias en la novena Conferencia Latinoamericana y Caribeña de Ciencias Sociales.

Externado Participated in the 9th Latin American and Caribbean Conference on Social Sciences

The research team of the Centre of Investigation in Social Dynamics (also CIDS), led by the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Jorge Martínez Cotrina, represented our University at the event. The investigators. Jaime Zuluaga, Diana Soler, Merly Díaz and Marisol Rojas also presented books and different papers.

The Latina American and Caribbean Conference on Social Sciences, organised by the Latin American Council of Social Sciences – CLACSO, will take place from 7 June to 10 June at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) facilities. On 5 and 6 June, the XXVII Ordinary General Assembly and the Extraordinary Assembly, were held within this frame, with the aim of discussing the regional and global perspectives to determine the working guidelines for the next few years.

The CIDS, Faculty of Social and Human Sciences of Universidad Externado, forms part of the 836 research centres and postgraduate programs that CLACSO brings together. It counted with the attendance of the Dean, Jorge Martínez Cotrina, whose aim was to strengthen the interchange and cooperation between the institutions and research studies in the region. Likewise, to actively participate in the decisions of the General Assembly and the Extraordinary Assembly as a member with a vote and a voice.

The Dean will take part in the different activities and talks that will be held during the conference. Also, in the various decisions of the Assembly considering the challenges that the region is facing following the pandemic. He will contribute in great measure to the objectives, of both the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences and the University, which is to position CIDS as a pacesetter – regionally and nationally – in the study of the social problems and phenomena of the country.

Besides the Dean’s participation in the two Assemblies, the Centre for Investigation on Social Dynamics will be represented by the investigators Jaime Zuluaga, Merly Díaz, Diana Soler and Marisol Rojas who will present their papers at the Conference.
