Adriana Rodrguez

English teacher

Adriana is British-Colombian and completed her Cambridge CELTA in June 2013. Since then, she has been teaching General and Business English in and across different settings in Bogota. In August 2016, she became a professor at Universidad Externado de Colombian. Formerly, Adriana worked for the British Government developing and implementing national education policy. From this role stems her passion for writing, which she tries to pass on to her students.

Besides being a teacher, she is a Cambridge KET/PET and FCE examiner as well as a TEA (Test of English for Aviation) examiner. Translating documents from Spanish to English and editing written documents in English for various purposes including Masters theses, research journals, etc. form part of her job. She has a BA (Hons) in Government Policy and Education, University of Chester, UK; and a Foundation Degree in Arts, University of Liverpool, UK. Currently, she is undertaking her Cambridge DELTA, having completed Module 1 in December 2021.

Bogota has been her professional teaching hub, but she has also enjoyed travelling across Colombia and visiting other countries in South America. She tries to visit her family in England as often as possible and loves travelling around the European continent.
