Incoming mobility

Universidad Externado de Colombia is one of the oldest and most reputable universities in the country. Among its graduates are renowned lawyers, judges, financiers, and journalists, as well as high-ranking government officials and politicians.

Its philosophy is «Education for Freedom», which allows each student to develop freely in an environment open to diverse beliefs and opinions.

If you would like to experience Colombia and study at one of the country’s most fascinating institutions, you should first contact the international mobility officer at your home university.

The person in charge will access our CONNEXT system to make your nomination.

Subsequently, you will receive a username and password by mail to start your application. Once you have a username and password, you must enter CONNEXT, select the «International Career Pathways» module and select the «International Student» section.

Once you enter the system, you will reach the «Explora» module, where you will be able to review the different programs of Universidad Externado. After reviewing the different programs, go to the «Registration Form» section to fill in your initial data.

The Internationalization and External Relations Department (DIRE) will review this initial form. If this section is approved, you will receive an e-mail notification to fill out a second form.

In the last tab of the form, you will be able to select the subjects you wish to see at Universidad Externado de Colombia. At the end of the form, you must click on the «finish and go to upload documents» button.

You must attach the required supports.

You must attach:

• Passport
• Document format photograph (white background) in JPG format.
• Motivation letter explaining the reasons why you wish to study at Universidad Externado de Colombia.
• Spanish test (in case you come from a non-Spanish speaking institution).
• Certificate of your grades.

The Internationalization and External Relations Department (DIRE) and the faculty to which you wish to apply at the Universidad Externado de Colombia will review your application.

You will receive notifications on the status of the process at each step of the process in your institutional e-mail.
