Jorge Castao Gutirrez

He is a lawyer, graduated from the Universidad Externado de Colombia, with a postgraduate degree in Financial and Stock Exchange Law from the same university and a European Master’s Degree in Economic Development from the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. He has worked as an Advisor to the Sub-Directorate of Regulatory Coordination, from where he participated in the regulation of the Securities Market Law. He later took on the role of Delegated Superintendent for Securities Intermediaries, Director of Research and Development of the Financial Superintendence of Colombia, was Financial Superintendent (in charge), director of the Financial Institutions Guarantee Fund, FOGAFIN and is currently the Financial Superintendent.
